DTF Ink for Epson Printheads
DTF Power ink is compatible with the majority of DTF printers and specially formulated for Epson DTF printheads. It has been tested on the following commonly used printheads:
- DX5
- DX7
- XP600
- 4720
- i3200
Always confirm compatibility with your printer manufacturer or technician before changing ink systems. Avoid mixing inks from different manufacturers, as different formulations may affect color consistency and printer performance.
Choose the Right DTF Ink
White DTF Ink
White ink creates the underbase needed for vibrant transfers, especially when printing designs for dark garments. Proper circulation, agitation and routine printer maintenance are important because white ink contains heavier pigment.
CMYK DTF Ink
Cyan, magenta, yellow and black inks create the color layer of your design. Use a complete CMYK set with white ink for a standard professional DTF printing workflow.
How to Get Better Results With DTF Ink
- Confirm that the ink is compatible with your printer and printhead configuration.
- Follow your printer manufacturer's recommended maintenance routine, especially for white ink.
- Use the appropriate RIP software settings and color profile for your equipment.
- Print your mirrored design onto compatible DTF film.
- Apply an even layer of DTF adhesive powder while the ink is still wet.
- Cure and press the transfer using the correct settings for your equipment and garment.
- Complete the final press with one of our finishing sheets for a more refined result.
Common DTF Ink Mistakes
- Mixing ink brands: Combining different formulations may affect flow, color consistency and printhead performance.
- Ignoring white-ink maintenance: White ink requires proper circulation, agitation and routine maintenance.
- Using incorrect RIP settings: Your color profile, pass count and ink limits should match your equipment and desired print quality.
- Skipping test prints: Run a small test before beginning a large customer order.
- Using poor-quality consumables: Film, powder and ink should work together as part of a consistent DTF production process.
